NEW CLASS to be offered Autumn, 2008!
A note: to those of you who anticipated that this class would be offered April/May 2008,
please know that I have made the decision to devote the next several months to painting ...
I apologize for the delay in starting this class, but I must honor my own need to move
from DREAMING to DOING before I can best teach it to each of you!
In the meantime, please do let me know of your interest in the class so that
I may contact you as soon as I have a definite schedule for when it will meet.

From DREAMING to DOING...
Experiencing the creative process.
Do you need a little help in moving your creative ideas from dreams to reality?
It's time to take action!
Drawing on over ten years’ experience of teaching The Artist’s Way (by Julia Cameron),
and Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain (by Betty Edwards), as well as my own personal experiences with painting, music, and spirituality, I have developed this class series
to offer you concrete methods for moving from creative idea, to manifestation of that idea..
to develop productive habits, and discipline (yes, really!) for your creativity.
The course will meet for seven consecutive weeks.
There will be two additional classes to be held one month, and three months,
following the end of the seven weeks, as check ins to the continuing creative process.
It will meet in the Falmouth area (specifics to be determined.)

Meet the Teacher
Mimi Schlichter's education
includes
a BA in Biology from Gettysburg College, graduate course work at
the Lutheran Theological Seminary in
Gettysburg, and courses at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Following a variety of endeavors that included fundraising, image
consulting, direct marketing sales, and full-time at home mothering,
she finally found the courage to stand up tall in her boots and call
herself “artist.” Mimi paints in oils and acrylics , is a
certified reflexologist, and Minister of Music at Christ Lutheran
Church in Falmouth,
MA. For the past ten years she has taught classes based on
Julia Cameron’s
book The Artists Way. She has written the Dreaming to Doing class
based
on her own life
experiences of creative exploration
