Day 79 - winding down to wind up

I don't remember if I talked much about why I started the 90 day blog challenge in the first place.  At the risk of repeating myself...

My 90 day blog challenge to myself was a way to create a discipline of writing every day.  I had wandered away, and wanted to get back to it.  Beyond wanting to, I had a feeling that I needed to.  So every day, beginning back on July 25, I had a reason to show up and write, even just for a little bit.

79 days in, I am happy to share that it worked.  With only 11 to go, some may be wondering, "so now what?"

I don't know that I will necessarily keep the every day blog thing going.  My guess is that likely I will not.  Instead, I have replaced it with a longer, personal discipline of writing, longhand, pen to paper, for an hour every day.  I attempt to do it first thing every morning.  It doesn't always work out that way.  Sometimes it is later, depending on my work day schedule, and sometimes it is bits and pieces.  I far prefer the first thing in the morning for an hour, before my logic left side of my brain takes over with the tasks of the day.

I started the blog hoping that a 'next book' theme would present itself through the blog posts.  It did not.

However, a recent hour of longhand writing pointed the way.  

It's too soon to share the details with you, because it would be unwise of me to do so before it is finished.  But please know that it IS in the works.  It gelled this morning.  Nonfiction.  Essays of sorts.  Wish me luck.  I'm on my way.

As the blog winds down, a new venture winds up.  Love it!  And each of you.
